ART IN BLOOM ..at milwaukee art museum

i love being at MAM as a docent!! While at the museum i was given a lei by one of the participating florist on this the first day of a three day event called ART IN BLOOM!
i walked around with fellow docent and we got a preview of some of the art in bloom displays and talked to a few of the florists as they were setting up there displays. then i did a tour called American history in art for fifth grades and great kids they were. There teacher was the chaperon and a delight to have alone.
next i took around a great group of about 25 women from Chicago who came with their fellow Hadassah members.
FYI: Hadassah is an organization that is a network of dedicated volunteers, founded on the principle that advancement and cooperation in medicine and science transcend politics, religion, and national boundaries. Established in 1984, Hadassah International currently spans the five continents of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Just a little about some of its mission is to:
* Enhance the image of Israel through the work of the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO).
* Provide support for HMO so that it remains an academic center of excellence for healing, teaching, and research.
* Serve as a bridge to nations through medicine.

all in all the day went very well and ended on a high note as a friend meet me at my favorite Chinese restaurant for supper!!
